This is what effective advocacy looks like

. Today, City Council had another productive meeting with Premier Eby. We discussed 3 priorities for PG City Council and our residents. They included the Municipal Regional District Tax-27 day exemption, Northern Homeowners Grant reinstatement in 2027 and meeting our 2nd year housing targets!

Premier Eby was here to make the start of construction announcement for the first phase of the North Coast Transmission Line! He made the announcement in the City of Prince George along with BC Hydro and Federal Ministers Hodgson and Robertson. This generational project will power clean growth and create 9500 direct full time jobs and generate $10 billion annually to the provincial economy once major industrial projects connected to the power line are up and running in 7-10 years!

I respectfully acknowledge the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh, on whose land we live, work and play.

Prince George is situated on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh and their traditional lands cover much of the area from present-day Prince George to the Rocky Mountains. The word “Lheidli” means “where the two rivers flow together” and “T’enneh” means “the People.”
